Dr. Bockelmann is the father to three boys and has a big heart for helping kids. He welcomes the whole family to his office and can provide aid to people of all ages. He served as the Head Wrestling Coach at Estes Park High School and worked with many youth programs in town for a number of years. He served on the sidelines for football injuries and helped with many other local sports teams. He provides all types of healthcare but sports injuries are his specialty. He has focused most of his post-doctoral education in Sports Medicine. He earned post-doctoral certifications in Sports Chiropractic. He treats athletic injuries ranging from children injuring their necks on trampolines to hiking injuries in the elderly and everything in between. Though his focus has been on sports injuries, most normal-life injuries or ailments that he treats in the office daily are all very similar to those we see in the sports arena. You don’t have to be an athlete to suffer a “sports injury.” His post-doctoral training just provides for more clinical skills in his toolbox to treat every day injuries.
Who benefits from chiropractic care?
Infants: Curled up in a fetal C shape for 9 months and then passing through the birth canal can be traumatic, especially if extraction techniques were needed. Give your infant the opportunity to start life with an aligned spine.
Children: Trampoline injuries and falling out of trees are just a couple causes of misalignments. Give your child’s spine a chance to develop properly and in alignment.
Adolescents: Catch misalignment issues during the growth years so they don’t become chronic in adulthood. Once our bodies settle into place, it is much more difficult to correct spinal issues.
Adults: When spinal bones misalign, they lose their normal motion. Loss of normal motion causes decreased lubrication in the joints resulting in degenerative changes and arthritis.
Medicare: Our joints become more restricted with age. Keep your joints as lubricated and mobile as possible. Try to minimize premature aging.
Sports injuries, work injuries, auto accidents or nealy any kind of injury responds well to chiropractic care. Dr. Bockelmann adjusts extremity joints just as often as spinal joints. If Dr. Bockelman can’t treat the injury, then he will refer to the appropriate physician.
